Cape Gris Gris

Our rating: 7.60

A beautiful spot on the south coast, there is no coral reef here and large waves can reach the shore. For the island's inhabitants, this place is somewhat mystical, and the word ‘Gris Gris’ comes from Creole and African languages and means “magic” or ‘amulet’. According to legend, the cape got its name because of the mystical energy and sounds of the ocean, reminiscent of the whispering of spirits.

You can take a short walk along the coast and reach the Roche Qui Pleure rock (-20.523833, 57.536778).
