First, park near the waterfall (-20.443028, 57.383611), the observation deck is 20 metres from the car park. The waterfall is high and quite full, but it is far away.
You can climb the steps to another viewing platform, which is better.
Next, drive to the car park at Seven Coloured Sands (-20.441556, 57.374194). The car park is medium-sized, but there may not be any free spaces. The earth in this place has different shades, which are clearly visible in sunny weather. These colours were formed after a volcanic eruption several million years ago.
Red and brown come from iron oxides.
Purple and blue come from aluminium.
Yellow comes from a mixture of minerals and the degree of oxidation.
Interestingly, the layers do not mix, even if you try to mix them — after settling, the colours separate again.
There are also large turtles here.
Near the Seven Coloured Sands, there is an extreme park called Lavilleon Adventure Park (https://www.lavilleonadventurepark.com/), where you can ride long zip lines and walk across a Nepalese bridge.
There is also a hotel with chalets ({{202}}) in a very picturesque location nearby. Interestingly, we planned to stay there when we were planning our trip back in 2019, but... it is for adults only, so we will have to wait another 10 years.
