Not far from the town of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, a path is carved in high cliffs along the Lot River, which is now a tourist attraction.

The trail was made in 1845 and was used by barge haulers.

In 1985, an artist from Toulouse created a 30 meters long bas-relief on the trail. It depicts the life on the river, its flora and fauna.
