The wooden church in Lom (1158-59) is one of the biggest and most beautiful medieval churches in Norway. The original date of construction was determined by analysis of the wood in the oldest part. For that time the church was considered to be quite large and was used in the entire region. In 1349 came the plague, and development of the church stood by as much as 300 years. Only in the early 17th century it became clear that it was too small for that time and required reconstruction. In 1634 and 1663, the church was expanded in all directions. Until the late 19th century, the church had been used by travelers, until hotels and guest houses appeared. Nowadays there's a large gallery of paintings inside the church.official website .

Impressions : ------------ 1 - No point in visiting 2 - Boring, wasted time 3 - You can visit, if you have a lot of free time and nothing better to do 4 - A lot of things, but not so interesting 5 - It seems to be interesting, but hard way to spoil the impression 6 - There is something interesting, but the rest is not worth the attention 7 - Probably interesting, but for everybody 8 - Very cool, but difficult to see everything and long-distance trails 9 - Very cool, but there are similar facilities in other locations 10 - Very cool, this is not anywhere else
